Geography of Indonesia

Indonesia lies between latitudes 11°S and 6°N, and longitudes 95°E and 141°E. It consists of 17,508 islands, about 6,000 of which are inhabited. These are scattered over both sides of the equator. The largest are Java, Sumatra, Borneo (shared with Brunei and Malaysia), New Guinea (shared with Papua New Guinea), and Sulawesi. Indonesia shares land borders with Malaysia on Borneo, Papua New Guinea on the island of New Guinea, and East Timor on the island of Timor. Indonesia shares maritime borders across narrow straits with Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines to the north, and with Australia to the south. The capital, Jakarta, is on Java and is the nation's largest city, followed by Surabaya, Bandung, Medan, and Semarang.

At 1,919,440 square kilometers (741,050 sq mi), Indonesia is the world's 16th-largest country in terms of land area. Its average population density is 134 people per square kilometer (347 per sq mi), 79th in the world, although Java, the world's most populous island, has a population density of 940 people per square kilometer (2,435 per sq mi). At 4,884 metres (16,024 ft), Puncak Jaya in Papua is Indonesia's highest peak, and Lake Toba in Sumatra its largest lake, with an area of 1,145 square kilometers (442 sq mi). The country's largest rivers are in Kalimantan, and include the Mahakam and Barito; such rivers are communication and transport links between the island's river settlements.



Indonesia's location on the edges of the Pacific, Eurasian, and Australian tectonic plates makes it the site of numerous volcanoes and frequent earthquakes. Indonesia has at least 150 active volcanoes, including Krakatoa and Tambora, both famous for their devastating eruptions in the 19th century. The eruption of the Toba supervolcano, approximately 70,000 years ago, was one of the largest eruptions ever, and a global catastrophe. Recent disasters due to seismic activity include the 2004 tsunami that killed an estimated 167,736 in northern Sumatra, and the Yogyakarta earthquake in 2006. However, volcanic ash is a major contributor to the high agricultural fertility that has historically sustained the high population densities of Java and Bali.


Lying along the equator, Indonesia has a tropical climate, with two distinct monsoonal wet and dry seasons. Average annual rainfall in the lowlands varies from 1,780–3,175 millimeters (70–125 in), and up to 6,100 millimeters (240 in) in mountainous regions. Mountainous areas—particularly in the west coast of Sumatra, West Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Papua—receive the highest rainfall. Humidity is generally high, averaging about 80%. Temperatures vary little throughout the year; the average daily temperature range of Jakarta is 26–30 °C (79–86 °F).

The nation of Indonesia is almost unimaginably vast: More than 17,000 islands providing 108,000 kilometers of beaches. The distance between Aceh in the West and Papua in the East is more than 4,000 kilometers (2500 miles), comparable to the distance between New York City and San Francisco. Laying on the western rim of the Ring of Fire Indonesia has more than 400 volcanoes, of which 130 are considered active, as well as many undersea volcanoes. The island of New Guinea (on which the Indonesian province of Papua is located) is the second largest island in the world. Provinces are usually grouped around larger islands and include smaller surrounding islands. The listing below follows this practice, except with Bali which is treated as a separate region in here.

Raja ampat diving sites map

Raja Ampat is all about diversity, from the great things about the variety of reefs to their topography. There are vertical walls, reef flats, slopes, ridges, sea mounds, mucky mangroves, lagoons and pinnacles all of which are affected by a varying degree of current from none to very strong. The uniqueness of dive sites in Raja Ampat is no doubt anymore , surround by the small islands, the area of Raja Ampat give the feel of a truly exotic, makes you feel like the first person who dive into these region, an experience that you probably will not forget for the rest of your life , Enjoyed !

Description :

The Passage
A jumble of rocks marks the entrance to this enchanting looking dive site, the coral almost grows to the surface here. There is not much choice but to drop in and drift down the channel, pausing in bays where the current is more forgiving. Plenty of life can be found here including octopus, flatworms and cuttlefish, even the Wobbegong shark can be spotted on occasion. Schools of bigger fish await out in the current such as jacks, tuna, barracuda and sharks. Caves and arches also make up some of the topography here. Close by is this Nudibranch Rock, recently discovered sheltered dive site where the small island and bays wield a number of flamboyant nudibranchs.

Mike’s Point
This rocky outcrop just off Cape Kri was bombed during WWII. From the air it was mistaken for a Japanese ship due to its size and the wake left by speeding currents. Walls surrounding the islet drop to over 40 meters and attract huge schools of sweetlips, snappers and fusiliers. A dazling array of giant sea fans on a shelf at 27 meters can be explored for pygmy seahorses and the walls and coral crevaces home all manner of reef life.

Cape Kri
As one of the most popular dive sites of Raja Ampat , divers here can look forward to being literally engulfed by fish, huge swirling schools of dogtooth tuna, jacks, giant trevally and chevron barracuda. In addition to these expect to see large napoleon wrasse, car sized Queensland groupers and reef sharks as you drift along with the fish. Coral growth here is also diverse with all manner of hard and soft varieties. It is best to stay deep here to avoid the stong surface currents.

Sardine Reef
Sardine reef is a large off shore reef that slopes down to around 25 meters. There are no actual sardines here but the fish are so tightly packed that it derives the name of the dive site. Great schools of fish block out the light, jacks, tuna, trevally, they’re all here in huge numbers. There are also Australian Wobbegongs to be found here hiding under ledges and table corals. This dive really is a fish frenzy, you even need to stay close to your buddy if you want to keep them in sight for the living walls of fish.

Misool Island
This is one of the larger islands in the archipelago. The stunning reefs around Misool offer a breathtaking kaleidoscope of colour which offers a nice contrast to all the big stuff on other dive sites. Sloping walls are carpeted with soft corals of every colour imaginable housing all manner of critters from ghost pipefish to harlequin shrimp to pygmy seahorses.

Wai Island
This spot is famed for its visiting manta rays and a couple of WWII aircraft wrecks. However it is also popular for night diving in the secluded bay. All manner of creatures emerge to feed including octopus, stonefish, epaulette sharks, wobbegongs, squid, pipefish and many rare nudibranchs.

Derawan island : Dive awesome in your life

Welcome to the beautiful tropical islands in the region of Borneo,Derawan is an island with a sea of blue and green color gradations views, softly sand, rows of coconut palms on the coast, with a small forest in the middle of the island which is the habitat of various species of plants and animals and the natural beauty of the enchanting underwater. No wonder if this island could be ranked as a top three world-class dive destination and make this island as an island of dreams for the divers.Derawan Island has to total land surface of 40,000 hectares and is nature reserve with beautiful scenery and beaches.


Several species of rare flora and fauna are preserved here, such as scaled turtles, belimbing turtles and sea cows. This Island is occupied by Bajau people. It's sea gardens are beautiful . Its coastal forests are inhabited by sea birds, iguanas, and swallows. There are caves inhabited by various kinds of crabs. The waters around Derawan are good for swimming, fishing, scuba diving, and other water sports. Rabu-rabu Island is near Derawan, and is also called Snake Island. There are also Tanjung Batu, Panjang, Sangalaki and Kakaban Island, the latter with lakes.
Located on the coastal shelf of East Kalimantan in the Sulawesi Sea the Derawan islands are known as one of the most biodiversity-rich hotspots in the world. However a variety of man made threats endanger its beauty. The Berau administration has declared its total area of 1.27 million hectares a marine conservancy region. It hopes to slow down the rate of environmental destruction. The Berau administration in East Kalimantan uses it as its symbol despite the rich diversity of sea creatures and coral reefs in the Derawan islands.

How to get there ?

From Jakarta( Indonesia ) you can reach Balikpapan very easily. From Jakarta it is better to take morning flight between 06.00 – 08.00 AM Jakarta time with Bouraq, Lion Air, Kartika Air, Air Asia, Adam Air and Garuda Indonesia, so you can connect nicely with Trigana Balikpapan – Berau 10.45 - 12.10. To reach this place, from Balikpapan to travel one hour by plane (Kal Star, Deraya or DAS) to Cape Redeb (Kab.Berau capital) and from Cape Batu to Cape Redeb then took a speedboat to the island Derawan (long trip around the 2.5 hours). Other alternatives can also be via Tarakan, from there using a speed boat charter (capacity 30 people at a cost of approximately Rp 8 million) and up to the island Derawan with 3.5 hours of travel time.

What to see ?



Derawan beach is very good, compared with a beach in Bali, Derawan beach is much cleaner and very beautiful underwater scenery, there are many diverse ornamental fish, you can also see turtles on the island. Ambiance Sunrise Sunset and its really beautiful, it's better  for you to not miss these two moments. By using a snorkel, you can enjoy the beauty of coral reefs under the sea because the water is very clear.No need far out to sea, about 100 meters from the beach, fish and colorful coral reefs can be enjoyed by renting snorkel $ 5 for one day. Derawan Islands series that ran for more than 100mil along the coastline of East Kalimantan, is one of the most biologically rich in Indonesia. In this archipelago of water from the Berau River mixed with water from the Celebes Sea sea creating a unique landscape with the characteristics of a broad river delta toward the scattered reef, coral atolls and reef edge. Derawan Islands there are more than 460 species of coral. It makes Derawan Islands as a region which has the highest diversity of hard corals in the world number two after the Raja Ampat Islands in Eastern Indonesia.

This study also notes that there is more than 870 species of fish, ranging from Pygmy seahorses are very small to giant manta rays.Very often found in a large group of manta rays which amounts to 50 tail looks seen foraging in the waters Derawan. Various flora and fauna are also found in this area include: 347 species of reef fish, 222 species of molluscs (including five types of clams); 27 species of crustaceans, 183 species of coral; seven species of seagrass, and other biota, such as rare green turtles (Chelonia mydas) , hawksbill (Eretmochelys imbricata), dugong (Dugong dugori), fish belebele / Napoleon (Cheilinus undulatus], shell clams (Tridacna sp.), and crab  (Birgus latrd). Some types of biota that there are important economic value such as prawn lobsters, grouper, red fish, kurisi fish, sharks, sea cucumbers.

Several clusters of coral, such as Moras, latitude, Malalangun, Gasongan, Baliulin and Masimbung also present in Derawan Islands. Waters around the reef has underwater ecosystem that is amazing. Beautiful coral reefs, the diversity of different types of coral reef fish species and biota, and clean white sandy beaches into charm of this place. A number of rare animals reefs in eastern Indonesia from snail species found in some of these coral islands.This area is also famous for its habitat for green turtles (Chelonia mydas) are rare and the largest in Indonesia.

Since 1993, the island is managed by PT.Bhuni Manimbora Derawan Interbuana by providing facilities such as cottages, diving equipment, speedboats and restaurants. In addition, there is also an inn run by local people, such as Danakan, Derawan Lestari III, Derawan Lestari I & II. Lodging Hams and Yogie Mas provides rooms for about $ 5 to $ 10 /night.

Lake Toba : Jewel on the North Sumatera

Lake Toba, which is known as one of the largest freshwater lake in the world, with the beautiful island of Samosir in the middle of the lake. If you seeing vast expanse of Lake Toba in the distance to the cliff or the top of the cloud-covered hill directly will make a fixed view, and often too tempting to divert attention with my eyes for a second. So extraordinarily beautiful and the average first-time visitors would be fascinated to visit.If you enjoyed photography, a visit to Lake Toba certainly will not be sorry to remember a truly stunning beauty.

In the history vulcanology eruption of the caldera is the remnant of the greatest mount explosion until this minute (scale 8 VEI - Vulkanic Explotion Index). Toba eruption may be confused with 2000 eruption of Mount Helena times or 20 000 times a Hiroshima atomic bomb explosion. The effects of the eruption was a big hole with an area of almost 200 thousand hectares (100 km length and width of 30 km) or two and a half times the state of Singapore where the hole is now filled with water and called the Lake Toba. The lake that formed 80,000 years ago from volcanic eruptions is located 906 m above sea level so there cool temperatures all year around 20 degrees Celsius. Depth of Lake Toba around 150 m with an area of 1265 km2, excluding Samosir island in the middle of a lake that size around 90km, or about 8 hours surrounded by a motorboat.



How to get there ?

To reach lake toba , the first step is you have to go to Medan in North Sumatera Indonesia and landing at Polonia medan airport . If you prefer to go by public transport, you can try to Pinang Line bus terminal which is the busiest terminal in Medan. Many buses are available to reach Lake Toba with a ticket price of about Rp. 30 000, - s / d Rp. 40 000, -. If you choose to stay in Medan before going to Lake Toba, usually the hotel can also help organize transport to Lake Toba with a rate of around Rp. 50 000, - until Rp.70.000, one person, depending on the type of car and number of people as well. Another alternative is to take the train from the main railway station in the city of Medan to Pematang Siantar town. Once on Pematang Siantar, you can charter a taxi heading Parapat rate of around Rp. 200 000, -. Parapat town which is the gate of Lake Toba can be achieved within approximately 4-5 hours from Medan if using a rental car, but it may take longer if the public transport, could be around 5-6 hours. Guesthouse manager Gordon gives gladly general tourist information and good tips about Sumatra.

* Hotel Carolina, Tuk-tuk, +62-625-451210 (carolina@indosat.co.in). A nice place with 49 rooms set in a lush tropical garden. It has a good restaurant with a verandah overlooking the lake. Staff is very helpful. Prices start with a bargain of Rp.45.000 for small Batak style cottages up the hill with cold water only and go up to Rp.150.000 for the luxury rooms on the lake shore which come with hot water, a bath tub and a fridge. Rates subject to a 10% tax. They have a great lake area for swimming with a diving board and pontoon to relax (best on Tuk Tuk). The Hotel can organise travel and trips, rents out motorbikes, has an computer room and even offers free WiFi in the restaurant area, though the speed can be very slow. * Christina Guesthouse, Tuk-tuk, ? +62-625-451027, . is a small relaxing place with lovely scenery and good swimming. Rooms are clean and located in several houses (e.g. traditional Batak-houses). Prices per night from Rp. 50000 upwards. Internet & Skype are available for reasonable price. Western- and Indonesian style food is served in the restaurant. Guesthouse manager Juan gives gladly general tourist information and good tips about Sumatra.

* Romlan, +62-625-451386 (romlantuktuk@yahoo.com). is a small guesthouse with about 15 rooms and includes two batak cottages (40,000 per night) and traditional rooms in a single and two storey building (about 60,000 per night). The rooms are super clean and very comfortable with attached bathroom and nice furniture. All rooms have direct lake view and the swimming area is good for swimming and relaxing. Also great local and indonesian food including some German meals. Highly recommended. Ask the boat to stop at the private dock.

* Samosir Cottages, Tuk-tuk, +62-625-451170 (info@samosircottages.com), accommodates many of the travellers who arrive late in Parapat, as there is usually a representative to ship them to the cottages. This is not a bad thing, however - the place is large, with a big variety in the price of rooms (Rp 30,000 and upwards). The waterfront is clean, and the restaurant is large and serves good food.The Batak music performing every Wednesday night and Saturday Night is great edit Ron the Boss and Togi the driver will be very helpful and sincere people. They also own Samorsir Villa Resort 5 minutes drive away which is newly built in 2007.


Tips

On the island of Samosir is almost no public transport. So if you want to get around the island, the only alternative is more feasible is to rent a motorcycle at a price of about Rp.70.000, until Rp. 80 000, - per day. Dive Sites of Bunaken Island, Manado, Sulawesi

Bunaken, the diving spot which highly compulsory for you to visit as a diver. Its beauty has been known to the world . Descriptions:

Mike Point
Many large and massive corals, black corals, sponges, big gorgonians and ascidians. Angelfishes, tilefish, large jacks, eagle rays, white-tip reef sharks and with luck big silvertip sharks.

Raymond Point
This wall with good hard, soft and whip corals growth very nice and is a home for many lobsters, angelfishes, butterfly fishes, big emperors, groupers, tunas, red snappers, sea snakes and stingrays. Sometimes the current horizontal and vertical.

Tengah
With sometimes a strong current, the reef offers yellow tail fusiliers, parrotfish, batfishes, jacks, and wrasse also white-and black-tip sharks

Mandolin Point

Fukui Point
Also called "Stingray Point", has a stepped profile, the reef top is at 3 meters and then slopes down with several shorts, but steep, drops. Well know for its rays, turtles, big barracudas, jacks, sweet lips, triggerfish, black snappers, spadefish, and napoleon wrasse, also bump head parrotfish.

Celah Celah
In the crook of the reef along the south site, the soft and hard corals growth good, many fishes like butterfly fishes, surgeonfish, parrotfish and also Napoleon wrasses.

Likuan I and II
Many canyons and cracks in the vertical walls. Here your chances are very good to see banner fishes, damselfishes, pyramid butterfly fishes, sea snakes, large emperor fishes, groupers, lionfish and scorpion fishes, Napoleon wrasse, turtles and sometimes white-tip reef sharks. The reef is filled with feather stars, gorgonians, black corals, giant sponges and ascidians.

Likuan III
Vertical walls with sandy slopes, many different hard corals. White-tip and black-tip reef sharks, barracudas, turtles and sometimes mantas.

Kampung
Slope is growth very nice. A lot of soft corals and sea fang, but often very strong current.


Pangalisan and Bunaken Timur
Very good reefs. Many hard and soft corals. Fishes like: emperor fishes, parrotfish, jacks, dogtooth tunas, butterfly fishes, angelfishes, sea snakes, blue-tip stingrays, white-tip reef sharks and sometimes gray sharks and hammerhead sharks.

Sachiko Point
Big fishes prowl this steep wall included large tunas, turtles, banner fishes, damselfishes, large angelfishes, sweet lips and large emperors. White and black-tipped sharks resting in caves in the deeper parts.

Visa Rules for Indonesia

Indonesia Visa Rules - There are several types of Indonesia visas such as Tourist Visa, Business Visa, Multiple-entry Visa (for business trips only) and Transit Visa. All travelers to Indonesia must possess passports, valid for at least six months after arrival, and proof of onward passage out of the country.

Visa Guidelines
Visas are not required for tourists who are nationals of Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, The Philippines, Hong Kong Special Administration Region (SAR), Macao Special Administration Region (SAR), Chile, Morocco, Peru, and Vietnam.

Countries and districts eligible for a visa on arrival are: United States of America, Australia, South Africa, Argentina, Brazil, Denmark, United Arab Emirates, Finland, Hungary, United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Germany, Canada, South Korea, Norway, France, Poland, Switzerland, New Zealand, and Taiwan.

Indonesia Visa Rules These visas can be obtained from the following airports on arrival:
Polonia (Medan), Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Pekan Baru), Tabing (Padang), Soekarno - Hatta (Jakarta), Juanda (Surabaya), Ngurah Rai (Bali), Samratulangi (Manado).

The following seaports also offer visa on arrival:

Sekupang, Batu Ampar, Nongsa and Marina Teluk Senimba (Batam), Bandar Bintan Telani Lagoi and Sri Udara Lobam (Tanjung Uban), Belawan (Belawan), Sibolga (Sibolga), Yos Sudarso (Dumai), Teluk Bayur (Padang), Tanjung Priok (Jakarta), Padang Bai (Bali), Jayapura(Jayapura).

Visa Regulations Effective February 1, 2004, Indonesia has introduced wide ranging changes in the national visa-free and visa on arrival system. We've tried to summarize those changes here for your convenience.

Visa Free on Arrival
In the past the nationals of 48 nations were given a 60-day stay (visa free) upon arrival at an Indonesian international gateway.

Under the new rules effective February 1, 2004:

• Only 11 countries and territories are eligible for a "Visa Free" facility, they are: Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Philippines, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, Chile, Morocco, Peru and Vietnam.

• Nationals of the aforementioned countries and territories will be issued with a 30-day stay permit without charge upon presentation of a valid passport with 6 months remaining validity.

• The Visa Free Facility is not extendable or convertible into another type of visa.

Visa on Arrival (updated February 2010)
Effective Jan 26, 2010, visitors holding valid passports from certain countries can now only obtain a 30-days visa on arrival (VOA). The previous 7-day visa at US$10 has been abolished, hence this 30-days US$25 visa (renewable for an additional 30 days, cost for this extension has not been revealed yet) being the only visa that can be issued to eligible tourists. This VOA can be obtained at any of the 15 airports and 21 seaports designated as "international gateways" by the Indonesian Immigration department.
Nationals of the following countries are eligible to purchase a VOA:
Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Laos, Latvia, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Panama, People's Republic of China, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Suriname, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, The Netherlands, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America.

• The citizens of the aforementioned countries must hold a passport with at least 6 months remaining validity at the time of arrival, present a completed embarkation/disembarkation card provided by the airlines, be able to demonstrate they have sufficient means to live during their stay in Indonesia, not be listed on any official blacklist of individuals prohibited from entering the country, and pay the stipulated fee to obtain a visa.

• The Visa on Arrival cannot be converted into another class of visa.

• Immigration authorities promise the visa purchasing system will take no more than 3-5 minutes per applicant. Payment counters have been set up to process payments.

• Once payment is completed the tourist will proceed to an immigration counter for final inspection of documents and visa issuance.

Visa on Arrival at Limited Gateways
The visa on arrival facility will only be available at the following international gateways:

Airports: Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang, Soekarno-Hatta (Jakarta), Halim Perdana Kusuma (Jakarta), Surabaya, Bali, Manado, Yogyakarta, Solo, Mataram (Lombok), Balikpapan, Makassar, Kupang.

Seaports: Batam, Tanjung Uban (Bintan), Belawan (Medan), Sibolga (Sumatra), Dumai, Teluk Bayar (Padang, Sumatra), Padang Bai (Bali), Jayapura (Papua), Padang (Sumatra), Bitung (North Sulawesi), Tanjung Balaikarimun, Tanjung Mas (Semarang), Kupang, Pare Pare (South Sulawesi), Makassar (South Sulawesi).

Applying for Visas Before Arrival
Citizens of countries not included on a visa-free or visa-on-arrival lists must apply for a visa overseas before arriving in Indonesia. Citizens of any country wishing to stay more than 30 days must also apply for an appropriate visa at their nearest Indonesian Embassy or Consulate before traveling to Indonesia.
It seems that a 60 day visa can be issued on request in most Asian countries for all nationalities within 2 days. You may check with your local Indonesian Embassy as well, where you will probably need to give a viable reason why you need a 60 day visa vs a 30 day visa.

Special Facilities

A certain number of special facilities are being introduced in connection with the new visa policy, including:

• Tour Agents are able to arrange express handling for groups at no additional charge by presenting the completed immigration cards, passports and applicable visa fee.

• Passengers who overstay their visa period for a short period of time can be processed immediately at the airport by paying US$ 20 for every day they "overstayed" their 30 day visa.

• Airlines that experience technical difficulties or delayed flights can apply for their passengers to be exempted from paying any "overstay" penalties.

TIP: Make copies of your passport and keep them separate. Losing your passport in Indonesia will cause you quite a few inconveniences since you'll have to make at least one trip to your embassy in Jakarta. We advise to make copies of travelers cheques, health insurances, drivers licenses, credit cards and bills of photo and video equipment as well. In case of loss this can help you at the police station and later on to get your lost property replaced.

Retirement in Indonesia The Immigration Department has issued the long-awaited revisions to regulations that allow the granting of temporary stay permits for those over 55 years of age. This facility to provide renewable stay permits of one year's duration was originally announced in 1998 (Keputusan Menteri Kehakiman No. M.04-IZ.01.02 tahun 1998). In the first few years after the regulations were issued few retirees were actually able to actually get the visa due to the strict requirements. Revisions to the regulations in April 2002 (decree by the General Director of Immigration in law No. F. 492-UM.01.10, April 18, 2002) brought the requirements within closer reach of the financial capabilities of most retirees.

The best way is use air plane than waterway . you can choose domestic flight like Merpati Nusantara , Garuda Indonesia, or Lion air . To exploring Kuta beach , its better to rent a car , its because this island have minimum public transportation . Don't forget to bring cash money , ATM in this island isn't to much .


3.What to do
Lombok island is popular island with beach and sea , if you want to surfing , better try to go to Seger beach , Gerupuk beach or Tanjung Aan .

4.Where to stay
Try novotel international resort , resort with traditional sasak house .
